I grew up camping in the desert with my family.
We felt like adventurers exploring new lands. Driving on sandy roads was tedious, and riding in the ruts was safer than the sand. Our goal was always to find a scenic campsite before sunset. But sometimes after hours of slow progress we’d end up at a dead end.
We learned that even though the ruts were well-traveled they may not lead to our desired destination. Dead ends go nowhere! But leaving the safety of the ruts is risky.
Racing the sun we’d rev up the truck engines and drive up onto a plateau discovering marvelous new views. As a young man I learned this lesson: Don’t get trapped in other people’s ruts! If someone says that you can’t do something, they’re probably wrong. God as Infinite new possibilities usually says yes because the soul craves exciting new territory. New opportunities lead forward and upward.
Are you trapped in a job or relationship that has no future, no reward? Are the ruts leading you nowhere? Where would Infinite Spirit with infinite new opportunities lead you?
You don’t have to endure the dead end any longer. You don’t have to sit in a parked car going nowhere. Assess what or who is blocking you, then trust you’ll get to where you want to go.
Run, jump, walk, fly or drive around the obstacles. This will lead to new possibilities.
Set a new goal. Change your course. Infinite God has new options for you!
